“Save the Kids Café” Campaign

Refugee History Research Assistant Hari Reed ran a campaign in August 2016 to prevent the French authorities from closing down a venue in the Calais Jungle that provided hot meals and classes to unaccompanied minors in the camp. Her petition received more than 180,000 signatures and the campaign was successful, although demolition of the entire camp took place just a few months later.
